The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Invest Hong Kong and Dasco Capital

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held a meeting with Alpha Lau, Director-General of Invest Hong Kong under the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China. The talks were also attended by Darmen Sadvakassov, CEO of Dasco Capital.

Serik Zhumangarin emphasized that Kazakhstan highly values Hong Kong’s commitment to expanding investment cooperation. He noted that Hong Kong, as one of Asia’s leading financial, technological, and trade centers, represents a vivid example of successful economic reform and the implementation of effective market mechanisms.

For her part, Alpha Lau highlighted Kazakhstan’s importance for China and the Hong Kong SAR — not only as a reliable investment partner but also as a strategic hub providing access to the markets of Central Asia. According to her, many Hong Kong companies, particularly in the financial sector, show strong interest in Kazakhstan. The development of cooperation, including the use of Hong Kong’s potential as a platform for entry into South Asian markets, will be mutually beneficial for both sides.

The head of Invest Hong Kong presented the organization’s activities and outlined its current policies for attracting foreign investment. During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation within the framework of Kazakhstan’s proactive economic growth policy, which aims to attract investment into the real sector of the economy.
