Dasco Capital and EWPARTNERS Sign a Partnership Memorandum

Dasco Capital and EWPARTNERS Investment Management Limited have signed a partnership memorandum aimed at developing the investment ecosystem of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

EWPARTNERS is a Hong Kong-based professional investment company with over US$1 billion in assets under management. It specialises in cross-border investment and runs projects across Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. Under the agreement reached, the parties intend to develop joint activities across Central Asia.

The memorandum sets out several priority areas: the creation of joint investment funds under shared management; investment advisory for clients — both Kazakhstani companies seeking to enter the Hong Kong market and Hong Kong investors exploring opportunities in Kazakhstan; and end-to-end project support.

A significant element of the cooperation will be leveraging the capabilities of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) to structure investment solutions and implement future initiatives. The parties also intend to explore the prospects of creating joint management structures and special purpose vehicles (SPVs).

“Kazakhstan and Central Asia are opening up new opportunities for the investment business today. Signing the memorandum with EWPARTNERS allows us to combine international experience with local expertise to develop our asset management practice and identify promising investment opportunities in the region. We expect this cooperation to become a foundation for new joint initiatives in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.” — Darmen Sadvakassov, CEO of Dasco Capital

The signing of the memorandum marks an important step in the development of the partnership and lays the groundwork for joint work in asset management and the implementation of investment initiatives in the region.
